about

First release -"The Frankenstein album" samizdat, showed unexperience in composing and playing, but also a lot of energy. Due to the lineup changes , three bassplayers are present on it with some of the songs featuring only two guitars and drums. Most of the songs were made in summer 1997, some dated from 1996, and some were made during the recording.
It was recorded live to 8-track Tascam tape recorder between september 1997 and february next year in Kozmo, no overdubs. It was mixed to DAT and then burned in app. 100 copies (first 25 in handmade cardboard sleeves) on BASF cd-rs.

Trivia about song titles:
"Metropolis" - is hommage to silent 1920s Fritz Lang movie
"Ciklus" - was originally titled "The Deerhunter" after a movie
"Dr. Strangelove" - was titled after Stanley Kubrick movie
"Trijumf" - is 1996 song with triumphant mood, composed with FastTracker2
"Breakdance" - Song about a neighbour who used to break chicken's necks for fun (that one's "Gut'n'morgen"). Actually, it's a break-dance, stop-go kind of a dance... [mexo]
"Solid motion" - is a line form a Talking Heads song "Swamp"
"Tehnicka vježba greška" - Technival practice mistake is a joke about the nature of the song and the way it was made.

Album title came from the Peter Jackson's movie "Bad Taste". Thanks to Tomica Šcavina for her brief appearance.
